The city of Zaporijjia was hit again on Thursday by a Russian missile, killing one and wounding one, according to Ukrainian authorities.

A Russian strike on the city of Zaporizhia in southern Ukraine was again targeted by a Russian strike on Thursday (August 10th). At least one person died and fourteen others were injured, including one seriously, Ukrainian authorities said. A 3-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy are among those affected.

“A fire broke out in a civilian building after being hit by a missile. At the moment, we mourn the death of one person,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Telegram. He posted a video showing a car on fire near the Reikartz hotel in Zaporizhia.

A regularly targeted city

According to the head of the city's military administration, Anatoly Kourtiev, at least four buildings were damaged. “The city is daily subjected to Russian bombardments,” for his part lamented Volodymyr Zelensky.

On Wednesday, a Russian strike had already left two dead and seven wounded in this same city, a locality located a few tens of kilometers from the front. (AFP)
